THE AIDS SUPPORT CLINIC
The AIDS SUPPORT CLINIC at PEMAKADDE CLINIC was introduced to cater to HIV/AIDS patients at Kasambya and neighboring villages.
The Residents were forced to travel very long distances to the main Hospital at Nakaseke seeking medical attention, check-ups, and counseling. This necessitated the construction of a health facility to bridge the gap and bring these services closer to the people that need them the most.
The patients that need help can now get all the counseling and testing from the clinic and this has improved the livelihood of the people in society
The facility offers medical attention and Counseling to help the patients deal with societal issues that come with being positive such as stigmatization.
The clinic is now able to do testing for the people so that they can start on the medication as soon as they can.
