Location of PEMAKADE MECHO First Health Centre

The Health centre is physically located in Kasambya-Lukese village in Nakaseke District, Uganda.  It is about 70 Kilo meters in the North of Kampala, the Capital City of Uganda, and about 18 Kilo meters from Wobulenzi, the nearby Trading Centre.

This location has a lot of historical significance for the Founder. One of the reasons that motivated me to choose this site for the construction of the clinic was the proceeding death of my sister in-law on the same piece of land as she bleed to death due to lack of transportation while was in the process of giving of birth. After listening to the detailed narratives that surrounded her death, I realized that her life would probably have been saved if there had been a nearby hospital or clinic. Hence, all those details reinforced my decision to purchase that land and build the clinic for the help the residents and future mothers within the same village.  

Indeed, the sad story of her death left a lasting impact in my life, and pierce of land on which she died on while giving birth symbolizes for me a place of self-giving for the wellbeing of others.  By the same token, the clinic has been constructed on the same piece of land as a lasting memory and honour to my sister in-law whose death was accompanied by the survival of her only son.  It is my heartfelt desire that one of the rooms within the planned maternity centre should be dedicated to her in loving memory of her short life. She died at the age of twenty-four years. May she rest in peace!
